With spending so much time at home over the past year I have found myself looking for easy ways to freshen up some areas of our home. With so many things out of our control right now, I have really enjoyed tackling little projects around our house and turning them into spaces I love.
My current project is our guest room and the nightstand decor in our master bedroom. Its amazing how a few small changes can make a room feel more serene. A relaxing space to end the day is something we all need right now.
I have my eye on some beautiful mercury glass lamps from Wayfair and a couple different faux floral arrangements. During the warmer months, I love bringing fresh flowers in from the garden. But, in these colder months, faux arrangements will have to do. Wayfair has some gorgeous ones and I think they are a great way to add a feminine touch to a nightstand or dresser top and remind us that warmer, brighter days will be here soon.
Changing out lamps is one of my favorite ways to update your space. I have spent so much time this year moving my favorites all around our house to try them in different spaces before deciding on my favorite set-up. A beautiful set of lamps can make such a statement in your room and they’re a great way to elevate your style. I prefer lamps that are larger and a little unique so that they catch the eye. Mercury glass is my personal favorite for bedrooms right now because I think they look so pretty in the evenings.
Another way I love to freshen up our bedrooms is by swapping our old throw blankets out for something new and cozy. Its an inexpensive way to refresh a bedroom or bring in a new color for the season. I currently have my eye on this one or this one.
Changing out the accessories on my nightstand is another fun way to refresh the bedroom. A new ring holder or decorative clock can make your space feel fresh and new without spending a lot of money. This is specifically the area of our master bedroom I am working on right now and I think these small details can make such a big difference.
During these times where we are all spending so much time at home, adding in something new and fun to your bedroom can be a great mood booster. I’m a believer that loving where you sleep brings the best rest.
I would love to know, are you shopping for anything for your home right now?
