Happy Monday, friends. We had a nice weekend. We had intended to go to out of town to a wedding and unfortunately, my mom wasn’t able to watch Madeline because she came home from work sick. We made the best of it, though, and had a great weekend at home.
Madeline and I ran to Lowe’s for the 124,986,643th time since we moved into our new home. This time, we went for something fun, though, and purchased some mums for the front porch. I picked up new planters at At Home last week. We needed something taller for our new house. Ohmiword, y’all, that store is incredible! Do you have one near you? My mom kept telling me to go and I kept…not going. It is truly a home decor superstore. My planters were super reasonable and I got a few knick knacks as well. Their art collection is pretty extensive, too, but we are kind of in the middle of some things as far as that goes right now.
Today, I am dressing Madeline in her cutest little pumpkin outfit and we are heading to a local pumpkin patch to choose some pumpkins to finish out the front porch. At seven months old, I’m sure she won’t really care about choosing the pumpkin but whatever.
I am *this* close to using up my last tube of Chanel Chintz lipstick and I might cry. Does anyone have a great peachy neutral they love? I need a replacement asap!
I made my favorite healthy lunch – greek yogurt chicken salad – last week and am going to be sharing the recipe with you all later in the week.
We did some Clemson football watching at home this weekend. We had a couple friends over and I made my favorite chunky guacamole (a little blog throwback from 2011), a grilled corn salad, and Corey grilled ribs on our Big Green Egg. The game was incredible if you missed it.
Our schedule is slowing down a little this week and I’m hoping to get a few little projects in the works. We still have a number of things on our new house to-do list.
Thanks for sharing about the At Home store. I had actually never heard of them, but it looks like their is a store near us, so I will definitely be checking them out! We just moved and our new home is four times bigger than our little one bedroom apartment so things are looking pretty sparse around here to say the least! Have fun at the pumpkin patch. Madeline is going to be darling and I hope you will share some pictures. 🙂
I LOVE At Home. There's one about 2 minutes from my house in Pineville and it's so bad (or good…) around this time of the year and Christmas. I'm always popping in "just to look" and coming out with more home goodies! Have a happy Monday!
I love a good yogurt chicken salad recipe! I love celery, pecans, and grapes in mine! I know not everyone likes grapes in theirs though.
Hmm. I've never heard of At Home. I'll have to investigate. Beautiful planters you found!
Gotta love a weekend of good food and good football. I have heard of At Home and always wanted to try going to one! So pretty!
