Happy Monday lovelies! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! This weekend was full of fun, socializing, and even a little bit of relaxing. Here’s the outfit I wore to work on Thursday:
Working with Kindergarten, I usually wear a nice t-shirt and either dress pants that are several years old or an inexpensive pair from Target. Unfortunately a lot of my nicer teaching clothes that I wore to school last year have gotten ruined by my class this year. Thursday, I decided to risk it and wear one of my favorite work tops. I love it because its so bright and cheerful and also lightweight. Which is awesome since our school doesn’t have air conditioning. The crops are the Sloan crop by Banana Republic. I love them and they are super great quality – I’m definitely going to be ordering the black pair as well.
Thursday night we met up with some friends for a Happy Hour with 50 cent beers. Lately, I’ve been a little bit of a Debbie Downer about Thursday night happy hours, which is odd because I used to love them. I’m always in a rush to get ready after work then don’t get anything done at home. I’m definitely thinking I need to do more of these and was reminded how much I love them. It makes your weekend seem so much longer. I wore this (old BCBG blouse, J.Crew matchstick jeans):
With my new bubble statement necklace from a local boutique. I also have the J.Crew factory bubble necklace and I am loving this trend this year.
Friday night, Corey and I went to Chez Jacqueline, a cute French restaurant in Greenwich Village. We went for the first time on New Years Eve and it was so nice to go back. It is delicious! I wore this (dress from a local boutique, wedges by Ivanka Trump):
We started with the caramelized onion tart, which I highly recommend, and the beef carpaccio. Yum yum!
I ordered the roasted chicken, which is served over sauteed squash, zucchini, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The chicken is so tender and there is definitely a white wine flavor. I really want to experiment with making this dish. It is to.die.for!
We ended with creme brulee! Love, love, love! With full bellies, we headed back to Hoboken to meet up with some friends for a couple drinks.
Saturday morning I worked out and cleaned the apartment while Corey went golfing with his dad. Then, I headed to Kleinfeld for my second fitting and got to try my dress on now that it is the appropriate size. Oh my goodness, I wish I could share the pictures. I love it even more now that it fits properly. I am so, so, so excited to wear it for my bridals in a couple weeks and then for the big day, which is just two months from today!!!!
Corey brought his sister back to Hoboken with him after golf and we had lunch then headed home and just hung out for a while. Then, we got ready for dinner and a night out. I wore a new top by French Connection and a super cute pair of Seychelles wedges, that I posted about here. Unfortunately, I snapped the picture super quickly and didn’t realize how poor quality it was. Also, I didn’t edit it so ignore the towel on the floor. I was in a hurry! 😉
I tried my new curling iron that my hair and makeup artist for the wedding found for me wholesale. Similar here. I’m so impressed because the curls last forever!
I love that necklace and your dress!!
Gorgeous in all of these outfits! Glad you had a fun weekend 🙂
Love all of your outfits! I really like the colors in your bubble necklace.
Love your outfits!!! The food looks so delicious!
You had a super busy weekend. Such great outfits. I want to steal from your closet.
