Ladies…the weekends just go by too quickly! Are we in agreement? I really need three days.
Thursday we celebrated Riley’s second birthday. He had a puppy cake from a local “barkery,” chicken breast for dinner, and a new sock monkey. He loves these but tears them up every couple months.
Friday night, Corey and I headed to Bowlmor Lanes located in Greenwich Village with some friends. I haven’t been there before but it was such a good time. I’m a terrible bowler. Our group had unlimited drinks and appetizers for two hours and we took full advantage of this. By the end of the night, some of our friends were sliding down the lanes on their bellies! It was lots of fun – I can’t believe I didn’t take pictures.
Corey and I took a long walk on Saturday. We’ve been doing an eight mile walk one day a weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect and it finally really feels like spring. We grilled steak and vegetables for dinner and I made rosemary feta twice baked potatoes – a recipe I found on Pinterest. It was a delicious dinner at home, with ample amounts of a new French wine we are loving.
Corey’s parents came to Hoboken for brunch yesterday. We haven’t seen them in quite a while because they have been staying warm in Florida! They are back now and we enjoyed a great brunch on the Hoboken waterfront at a restaurant that lets you BYOB champagne then mixes it with fresh squeezed orange juice to make mimosas. We took a walk along the waterfront afterwards then Corey and I headed to look for new running shoes. He and I both need new pairs. Y’all…I’m wearing the pair I got my freshman year of college! (Not that they always got as much use as they do lately.) My shoes are literally falling apart. Corey found a great new pair but I am having the hardest time. I can’t say I love the spider web look running (in my case I use that term loosely) have lately. I think I might try to make my own on NikeID. Has anyone used this?
We’ll be celebrating my first blog-aversary later this week. Stay tuned for two fun giveaways! Happy Monday girls!
I've also been wearing my running shoes forever! I got mine senior year of high school…they still look pretty new though…a testament to my lack of working out!
I was seriously considering Nike ID for my last pair of running shoes….designed the whole thing, got to checkout and saw there was a 6 week turn-around time for them to arrive. I'm way too impatient for that. I went to the Nike store in Atlanta and found a great pair there.
That is the cutest doggie cake.Glad you had a good weekend, and yes, they go by way too fast.
Love that Riley got a doggie cake! And I'm impressed with your long weekend walks! can't believe it's going to be a one year anniversary!
I just love that doggie cake! My one year blog anniversary is coming up this week too!
