Coffee + Conversation

Happy Monday, friends.

We had a great weekend over here but they sure do fly by, don’t they? My weekend really started on Thursday when I went to seeĀ Hello Dolly with a girlfriend and try a new farm to table restaurant in town. It was so nice to get out on a weekday. That has been so rare since welcoming our new little love to our family so I really enjoyed it.

We had our monthly Supper Club with friends on Friday night. It was Mexican dinner-themed and we enjoyed a really great meal. I was tasked with bringing dessert because the coconut tres leches cake I brought two years ago was such a hit so I made it again.

Its always so nice to get together with this group of friends. We have known each other for years and years. Even though we are all in different stages of life right now, our Supper Club is a great excuse to get together regularly despite all of life’s craziness.

On Saturday, Corey took Madeline to seeĀ Toy Story 4 during Connor’s nap time. Apparently the movie was pretty terrible but Madeline had so much fun anyway. This was her first movie ever and she loved the big screen. But most of all she loved the popcorn.

Yesterday, I went to my Pilates class in the morning and then packed everyone up for the pool while Corey golfed a few holes. We made it out around noon, snagged a cabana, and stayed all day. It made for a nice relaxing Sunday and I definitely didn’t hate sipping a cocktail int he cabana during nap time while Corey and Madeline played in the pool.

This week Madeline has preschool camp and is excited to spend a little time with her friends. I’ll be busy trying to get our house/yard back in order after our super fun water main leak a couple weeks ago. What a mess that all was! During the whole ordeal and even still after just trying to get everything cleaned up and staying on top of repairs. Home ownership is the best, I tell you.

We have a big appointment for our sweet little man this week as well so we are hoping and praying all goes well for him and that my mama heart can handle it. Good vibes are so appreciated!

Amidst all we have had going on, I did make a little time to shop the #Nsale over the weekend. Online, of course because there was no way I was taking both of my babes to Nordstrom this weekend. I picked up some great staples (some of which I buy every single year) that I’ll share later this week. Did any of you pick up anything good? Or do you have anything fun on your list for Prime day? I do love a good sale!

Aw, I’m so sad y’all didn’t like “Toy Story 4!” It wasn’t my favorite, but it was SO much better than 3! And yes, the weekends always fly right on by. Love your Mexican-themed supper club and yay for camps! Walker and Knox are in LEGO Camp (W) and Preschool VBS (K) and it’s so nice to have a few hours to get things done!
