Happy Monday!
This weekend we focused on getting a few projects finished and I am feeling good to get a few things checked off our to-do list. While preparing for a baby to arrive our list is truly endless!
On Saturday morning I did head out bright and early to The Bar Method. This is where I take classes and they celebrated their third anniversary over the weekend. I was a vendor with Beautycounter and had such a fun time sharing our mission and demoing some of our favorite products.
This morning we are headed back to the studio for a class and then going to meet Madeline’s new teacher. She has been asking for her old teachers over and over again during the summer so we have been doing lots of talking about the new school year and having a new teacher. Madeline has been practicing saying her name and we’ve talked about what fun things she will do in her class and which of her friends from last year will be there. Luckily most of her best buddies will be in her class again this year.
This is our last full week of summer before preschool begins next Wednesday so we are looking forward to a quick little trip and some time with friends before settling back into our regular routine. I have to admit I am really looking forward to getting back into a more predictable schedule. I am sure many of you who are mamas can relate.
It feels like its getting to be close to crunch-time for baby prep since he will be born right after Thanksgiving and I have a huge project for Madeline’s room planned so I am also looking forward to a few uninterrupted hours while she is at school next week to get some things finished in the nursery. Madeline has been doing lots of “helping,” which isn’t always super helpful! Stay tuned for a sneak peek of the nursery coming on Wednesday.
I really cannot believe it is almost Labor Day but we had three amazingly cool days here last week and it really made me excited for fall to arrive soon. And I sure hope its an early one this year because I’m pretty much out of pants. Haha!
I hope you all have a great week this week!
I wish we had Fall coming but its still in the 100s here. Enjoy this last week with her home. Too soon you will have 2!
I know it's going to be hot here for a while longer, but I did feel the slightest change in the air this week! Makes me excited for the season change!Kristen // http://www.pugsandpearls.com
Excited to see what you have planned for your little guy's nursery and Madeline's room as well! We've been enjoying some beautiful cooler days as well which I am soaking up because our fall here is normally quite damp and dreary unfortunately… but we're heading to SC this weekend and I'm hoping it still feels like summer while we're there so I can get in a few more lake days!
I could not agree more — I'm sad to see summer go, but happy to be getting on more of a solid schedule. Good luck on Madeline's first day next week!
I hope your event and meet the teacher went well! Bless Madeleine with her nursery set up helping – can't wait to see your progress so far x
