Over the weekend we traveled to New England for a wedding. The wedding was Friday afternoon and Corey had to work Thursday so we woke up early on Friday morning and flew out to Boston. We picked up a rental car when we arrived and made it to Portsmouth, New Hampshire in plenty of time to freshen up and get ready for the wedding.
I wore this dress and y’all – it is $12! It also comes in four colors. What a steal!
The wedding was held in a beautiful old barn and was just lovely. It was great to spend the evening catching up with friends and family.
On Saturday morning we slept in (until 8:00, which feels like sleeping in for me – haha!) and then enjoyed a leisurely breakfast before heading out to explore the beaches of Maine. Our first stop was to see the Hubble Lighthouse in York then we headed to Ogunquit for lunch, to explore a few shops, and a nice scenic walk.
I had my first ever lobster roll for lunch. I love lobster but I’d never tried a lobster roll before. The lobster was so fresh and delicious of course since its what Maine is known for!
The scenery was so pretty. I had never been to Maine or New Hampshire before so this was totally new territory for me and I was blown away by how gorgeous the rocky beaches were. The weather was also fantastic – it was in the eighties but none of the humidity we have at home.
After the beaches we explored Portsmouth for the afternoon and enjoyed dinner on the water. It was such a pretty city, too, and I loved checking out all of the little shops.
We flew home yesterday morning and were reunited with Madeline by the time she woke up from her nap. It was such a fun little trip and always nice to spend some extra time with Corey. New England was just gorgeous and I hope we can go back for longer sometime soon.
We came home to ice machine on our refrigerator not working and the mowers having cut our internet line so I have a busy week ahead of me this week getting everything back up and running. Happy Monday, friends!
That is the next place I want to travel. And the lobster roll looked divine.
What a fun trip! I've never been to New England and it's on my bucket list. That lobster roll looks delicious! Also, I adore that dress! I'm 5'6 and am a 2/4/small and wondering if you felt that it was true to size?
That dress is such a good deal, and you look lovely in it! What a fun trip for the two of you, and I just love New England!
A $12 dress?! It looks awesome on you! What a great trip, even if it was quick!-Kristen // http://www.pugsandpearls.com
Regardless of whether the lodging will be your primary need, inns still should be considered for their characteristics and courtesies. Neatness and the notoriety are vital. Essentially taking a gander at pictures on a site won't be sufficient to think about this.mci airport hotels
