Happy Monday! I am coming off a fun little bachelorette weekend in Asheville for one of my best friends from college.
I headed out at naptime on Friday and left Madeline for a fun little Daddy-daughter weekend with Corey. When we arrived, we spent some time catching up and then headed to dinner at Asheville pizza and brew. Since everyone is so spread out now geographically we were all asked to bring a craft beer from our home town for a beer tasting back at our house afterwards. The bride now lives in Colorado and is a huge fan of craft beer so this was a fun low key way to spend our first night.
On Saturday we had breakfast at the house and then headed out for a hike.
We got back just before lunch and everyone took a shower and dressed for the day. Then we headed into town for lunch and to make our way through some of Asheville’s many breweries. The theme of the weekend was “Brews before I Do’s.”
We ended the day with a late dinner at Laughing Seed Cafe before heading back to the house. Then, yesterday morning we had one last meal together – a delicious brunch at Blackbird. I had the Huevos Rancheros – my favorite brunch staple. Then, everyone headed home.
I made it back before Madeline woke up from her nap. It was another rainy day in Charlotte so we spent the afternoon watching it from our screened in porch while Madeline played and colored.
I sure did miss my little family. It’s so hard to travel on the weekends since Corey is gone all week but it was good for the soul to catch up with friends and have a little girl time.
This week is the last week of preschool so I’m using it to get as many things accomplished at home as I can! It’s supposed to be yet another rainy week in Charlotte so I’m certainly hoping the forecast turns around at some point!
Have a great Monday, friends!
What a fun theme. Mu husband is a HUGE craft beer guy, so he would have fit right in. Lol. I just cannot do beer. Glad you had a good time.
A craft beer link up sounds just up my street – a great idea and always soooo good after a great hike! Love your raging river photo. As for Huevos Rancheros – I am jealous – they just don't exist on any menu in this country (for now)!
Asheville is the perfect place for a craft beer lover and bachelorette.. sounds like fun!!
Such a cute idea for you all to bring a beer from your hometown! Very fun!
