Happy Monday, friends. We had a nice Mother’s Day weekend but it sure did go fast as they always seem to do recently!
On Friday, Corey and I went to the Kenny Chesney concert. He is such a great performer and it was nice to do something out of our regular routine because it has been a while since we’ve been to a concert.
Saturday morning we headed out to breakfast at one of our favorite spots, took a nice long walk as a family, and then Madeline and I played outside while Corey golfed. He made it home soon after she woke up from her nap and they ventured out to the grocery store to prep for Mother’s Day dinner.
While they were gone I took advantage of the alone time to swap out Madeline’s closet. Do any other mamas get so emotional doing this task every season and knowing that your child will never, ever, ever wear those clothes you are packing up again?
On Sunday, Corey made me breakfast in bed and I gladly stayed there in the peace and quiet for an extra hour. It was glorious! I can’t even remember the last time I had a day off from doing all the morning household duties so it was so nice.
He and Madeline presented me with cards and flowers and the Magnolia Table cookbook I’d been eyeing. I got a workout in and then enjoyed a shower (not during nap time!) while they made lunch – BLT’s with fresh tomatoes.
We both took a little power nap when Madeline went down for her nap and then he finished cooking while I set the table for our parents to arrive. We enjoyed such a nice meal together and Madeline thoroughly enjoyed being doted on by all of her grandparents. It was such a restful Sunday!
Today for Go Gray in May, I’ll be giving away a Beautycounter sample set and a gift certificate here. Later tonight I’m looking forward to my last Bunco of the season and an early dinner with Corey before he heads out of town.
Happy Monday, friends!

Jealous about the kenny concert! I love him. Yes i cry when I change out her clothes and realize she is growing up. Sad, but also fun because that means new clothes, lol.
What a wonderful weekend! I love seeing Kenny Chesney in concert; he puts on a great show! And girl, I get super teary when I put away (or donate, or sell) the clothes BOTH boys have worn. It gets me right in the heart!
I love Kenny Chesney and I bet it was an amazing performance. I could have written this myself as I also did the season closet change today! Ah, tears for sure, but also I still can't believe what a BIG job it is changing out for every season. It's on my to-do list to google some better ways to store, change, and save clothes;-) Great post!
I am so curious about bunco – this is the second post I've read about people getting together to play! I need to see if my neighborhood has one, because it sounds fun!
