Happy Monday morning! If we were having coffee today, I would share that we had quite the busy weekend considering we intended to do absolutely nothing!
Madeline and I ordered her birthday cake and cupcakes on Friday afternoon. My mom always made mine so I felt really conflicted not doing it myself but I am hitting the easy button for her party this year, especially since this week is already packed so full.
If you’re new around here, you can check out her first birthday party recap here. It was all of my Pinterest dreams come true but I hesitate to even share the link back out there because her party this year will definitely not be! This year we are going with a Daniel Tiger theme because she loves him.
On Saturday, I went to a friend’s baby shower. It was a fun time. It’s been rainy in Charlotte for a couple days (and looks like it will be gloomy for days to come) so I wore this easy outfit. I shared in on Instagram and asked if anyone else’s husband insists that bell sleeves make them look like a court jester? Corey makes fun every time I wear them.
We headed over to my Mother-in-Law’s for a relaxing dinner and to give Madeline some Nonnie time. We are so lucky to have all of Madeline’s grandparents so close by.
Then. Sunday was a day of errands. Corey and I took turns tackling various items. I had quite a few errands to run for Valentine’s Day this week since I am the room mom for Madeline’s class and it is also her teacher’s (and her own) birthday this week. It will be a jam packed week in that little toddler class.
Finally, we came home and enjoyed the super warm day by hanging out on our new screened in porch addition and having dinner outside. This was such a big project that we started back in November. It was finally finished a couple weeks ago and we have been itching for our first warm day to really test it out. I can’t wait to share a little more about this project with you, especially the before and afters because it was quite the project!
This week I am just looking forward to a lot of Daniel Tiger party prep! Be on the lookout for a few sappy posts as I prepare for my baby to turn TWO!
This was two years ago this week and the last picture of me pregnant. I was so swollen that I couldn’t even wear regular shoes but she made her debut just a few days later at 38 weeks.
Happy Monday!
Aww! Time goes by so fast! Also, I love how you're embracing the Daniel Tiger theme; it's going to be so much fun and Madeline is going to adore it!
Oh sweet lady, two is something else. Gerd your loins! But I am so excited because 2 has also been fun.
Can't believe she is going to be two! Crazy!
Your porch looks AWESOME! I can't wait to read more about it! And yes – I don't know any guy that appreciates bell sleeves!
Oh my gosh, we are so similar! I'm also the room mom for Walker's class and am in charge of Thursday's Valentine's Day Party (eeeeekkkk!); Brandon makes so much fun of me when I wear bell (or tiered) sleeves; and I, too, hit the "Easy Button" on Walker's party this year — quite the diversion from the past three years' parties. Happy Birthday to Madeline (and mama)!
