Coffee + Conversation

Happy last Monday before Christmas morning! This morning Madeline and I taking it slow before finishing up a few things at home to get ready to host Christmas. This has been such a magical Holiday season with her at the age to really enjoy some of the activities and have a slight clue as to what is actually going on!

I love this photo that her teacher sent me from school. She just looks so mesmerized by the lights and I think it is so sweet.

I sent Corey and Madeline to the store unsupervised over the weekend and they came back with this bear. It is now a permanent fixture of my home and she requests that it sit on the couch with her and sleep (under a blanket) in the glider in her room. It is so cute that I just have to oblige.

I got a haircut this week. I was SO long overdue. I am usually an every 6-8 week trim kind of gal and I had not been since August. I took these products with me that I started using a couple weeks ago to get my stylists’ thoughts. I have been on the quest for the perfect volumizing shampoo for about six months now so I’ll be sharing my thoughts on this one and a few others next week.

My sweet girl has been sick this week with a cold. She has had a hard time napping because her cough wakes her up so that has meant lots of snuggles with mama and even though I had lots to do, I can’t really complain because it has been so sweet during this stage of toddlerhood where she is trying to be so independent.

I mean, is this not the sweetest thing you have seen all morning?

Before she got to feeling bad we took her Uptown to see the Berenstein Bear symphony at Founders Hall, the life size gingerbread at the Ritz, and a cookie and sample of hot chocolate. It was a great little Christmas outing and she was talking about the “singing bears” for days.

That’s all for today, friends. We are almost ready for Christmas over here but if you are not I’m going to share a few last minute gifts you can still get in time tomorrow. Have a great Monday!

She’s such a doll! I hope she feels better soon! We also have a giant bear, and I’m at the point where I’m embracing it!

I have been using Monat for a month now. Sometimes I love it sometimes I don't. But I love the Junior line for E's hair. We have a life sized Mickey that sits on our couch, so I totally understand.
