Oh hey, y’all. I have enjoyed a little mini blog hiatus while celebrating Thanksgiving with my family and the start of the Christmas season. It was so fun to host all the grandparents for Thanksgiving and Madeline just loved the sweet potatoes and macaroni and cheese. It was nice to unplug and have a little time with family.

April was so nice to include us in a private event with the Blacklion Santa yesterday. This Santa is the real deal and he was so sweet, singing Madeline a song and letting us take the time to try to get the best picture. He is at the Pineville location on Saturdays from 1-4 until Christmas so if you are local, please take your littles for a visit. No appointments required and the visit is free! He is the sweetest, most authentic Santa around and the whole setup at Blacklion is super cute.

Corey and I are sneaking away for a little adults-only vacay to Olde Edwards Inn next weekend and I am super excited. Madeline will be in great hands with the grandmothers and we will be enjoying a little relaxation time together. This is one of the great benefits of me working part time at-home now because our down time from work never coincided when I was teaching.

I recently got a sample of this moisturizer with my Sephora purchase and it is amazing. I’m pretty loyal to the skincare products I already use but I am definitely adding this to my routine for the winter months. I have such difficult skin and it gets so dry when it is cold out. This is not an affiliate link, it is just so awesome you need to know about it and give it a try!
four.
I recently received a media box with some samples of the BITE Matte Lip Crayon included. I was kind of skeptical of these but I am so loving them. The Glace is a great color for me everyday and I am excited to use the Red Velvet for upcoming holiday events. These lip crayons go on so smoothly and stay put for hours. They also smell really good, which I love for cosmetic products.

Finally, I was gifted another media box with kind of a conglomeration of items for Fall. It had everything from coupons for Daisy sour cream and Country Crock butter, to information on earning cash through Ebates to Pilot pens to Maybelline Superstay lip color to Simple cleansing cloths. My favorite things about this box were the cleansing cloths because they are just nice to have in your travel bag for removing make-up on the go, the pens because I am a pen snob, and the reminder for Ebates. I’ve used Ebates in the past but have really forgotten about it. It is such a great way to earn cash back (I’ve earned several hundred dollars at this point) for the online shopping I already do. You can even use it for Amazon. What a way to give myself a little something while also purchasing for others this holiday season. Sign up here if you haven’t already!
She's so cute on Santa's lap!
What a sweet photo with Santa! I have heard great things about bite beauty and I am glad that they lived up to your expectations. Jess at Just Jess
