Today, Corey and I celebrate two years of marriage. I consider saying “I do” to be the best decision I’ve ever made. How special it is to find someone who completes you and makes your life better on a daily basis. We’ve accomplished so much in two years and I can’t wait to see where life takes us in the years to come. Happy anniversary, Corey! I love you to the moon and back.
Corey and I enjoyed a week at the beach and in Charleston last week. I’ve tried to stay checked out from the blog and really dedicate my time to Corey, Riley and our home before going back to work. We are still adjusting to Corey’s new travel schedule so I am trying to give 100% when he is home.
Today, on our second anniversary, it felt almost like a regular day. Corey woke up early to fly to San Diego for work. I started my new job and although it is a little closer than my previous one, I’m still making a pretty long trek each morning.
After a long first day, my car broke down on my way home and I had to have it towed. This is actually getting to be quite the regular. I found myself frantically calling neighbors to come rescue Riley and wondering if I could possibly pursue a career as a stay at home wife. Corey is in meetings almost all day and there is a 3 hour time change. It made for a long day.
Then, I finally got dropped off at home, covered with sweat and a blister the size of Texas on my heel from not having to wear anything but sandals for the last three months, and came inside to a dozen beautiful pink roses from my husband. What a sweet reminder that in marriage, we are choosing someone to do life with. Even on days when life gets messy or overwhelming. I’m a lucky, lucky girl that Corey is the man I get to do life with. Lots of love on our second anniversary!
