Hi there, friends.
Its been a little quiet around here lately. I’ve unintentionally taken a little hiatus. Things have just been busy.
I love teaching and I really like my school but right now I am just feeling totally, completely worn out. This is a busy time of year with the start of standardized testing (we took our writing portion last week), and lots of meetings and events. This month I’ve had 26 meetings after the work day and I am finding myself just feeling so tired.
On a happier note, my kiddos and I are off to the Charleston area for a field trip this week and spring break is right around the corner. Corey and I will be heading down to Naples, Florida to visit with his parents during my spring break. I am so looking forward to shopping, soaking up some sun, and sipping wine on the lanai.
During my little hiatus from blogland, we celebrated sweet Riley’s 4th birthday. He is so very spoiled and once again celebrated with a pupcake and an overpriced dog toy.
I’ve made it a personal goal recently to find more time for myself. That’s a lot easier said than done for an overachiever like myself. I did however get off to a good start when a friend and I organized a monthly wine club for five close friends. More to come on that soon.
I’ve also tried to squeeze in more time for brunching with friends, getting back into my exercise routine, and loving on my husband. Finding time to blog is next on my list. Thanks, girls, for sticking around in the meantime. Happy Tuesday!
You and LuLu need to get together and try and find a way to find more time away from work and for yourselves! :)Enjoy Florida!!
Ha! I agree with Dee. Let's plan a date.
That's a lot of meetings! Enjoy your relaxation time!
Aw Happy Birthday to Riley! And I am all for the cake and special toy to celebrate. ;)I'm taking a hiatus too, though for who knows how long. I'm just enjoying some me time and time with family and friends at the moment, when I'm not working, and not worry at all about blogging. It's been so great. :0
Oh I completely agree this school year has been nuts. I have 7 meetings tomorrow and am not looking forward to it at all! Counting down the days till spring break. Your trip to Florida sounds like a great time to rest.
