Happy Friday, girls! Let’s kick off the weekend with some confessions.
I confess…that I’m headed to the Carolinas to visit my family for a few days. I’m driving (ugh) and was originally planning to leave Sunday. But then, I realized, that I wouldn’t be able to stop for lunch at Chic-fil-A when I crossed into Virginia so I decided to leave a day early. Looking forward to some chicken nuggets really makes the first five hours fly by.
I confess…that I’ve been having a problem with grinding my teeth at night. If you know me in real life, you know I can be crazy obsessive about my teeth so this is not making me a happy camper at all. I’m wearing my retainer at night now to protect my teeth until I can go to the dentist when I get back but this is still giving me awful headaches. I was talking to our school nurse about it and she said its most commonly caused by stress. So I tried to think about what was causing so much stress in my life and realized really everything seems stressful here. Grocery shopping, commuting to work, etc. I’m going to have to find a way to go to bed more relaxed because so far increasing my intake of red wine is not solving the problem.
I confess…that I am dying to go shopping for some spring clothes. I’d picked out four or five things I wanted. Then, I had to buy new brakes for my car so I’ll just be window shopping this month. Bummer.
I confess…that I stayed after school last night and decorated my classroom for St. Patrick’s Day. Its such a fun holiday and I love how obsessed the kiddos are with Leprechauns.
I confess…that Riley has a birthday coming up in just two weeks and I may or may not be ordering him a custom pupcake. Spoiled.
I confess…that it really frustrates me that I wasn’t born with olive skin. I need to be more diligent with my Tan Towel application because right now I look like Casper. Eek.
I confess…that I suggested to Corey that we join a wine club so we can start buying by the case. It just always seems that we are on our last bottle…. 😉
I confess…that I couldn’t be happier to be headed South tomorrow. I’ve requested all my favorite southern foods – shrimp and grits, a pimento cheese burger, and of course Chic-fil-A. Riley is coming too and he is looking forward to playing in the grass.
Stay tuned the first of next week for some exciting news about Life with Elizabeth. In the meantime, have a lovely weekend, girls!
Have fun down here and safe travels!
I love that you're leaving early to go to CFA! Happy weekend! 🙂
Lol I love that you're leaving early for Chick-fil-A! Definitely worth it. :)And I totally bought Sammy a small cake for his birthday last month, so no judging here. ;)For relaxing, maybe try switching to hot tea? Or if you could take a bath, if you have one?
Have a safe drive! Can definitely relate to buy new brakes..my Christmas bonus went straight to my car. 🙁
You must be on spring break. I cannot imagine not having a Chick-fil-a, and I laughed so hard when I read your first confession about Sunday. That's hysterical. Love it.
Bahh…I love that you left a day early to take advantage of Chick-fil-A! I'm also excited to do some fun St. Patty's day activities with my kiddos!
