Hi there lovelies! I hope your Holiday was fabulous. Corey and I stayed in New Jersey this year as our travel budget was a little maxed out from my wedding planning trips and our honeymoon to Hawaii. As expected, I was a little bummed not to see my parents but had a great time with my family here.
I finished up the 2012 year with my sweet 3rd graders. They said their goodbyes to the Elf on the Shelf. One of my sweet girls drew a portrait of Jingles so we would always remember him.
Gosh, I love kid artwork. It brings a smile to my face. 🙂 I’ve had the flu for the past two weeks so I’ve been pretty much useless. I did make it to Santacon in the city before I realized I had the flu. If you’re ever in the city around the second week of December, put on a Santa costume and do this. It was loads of fun. Basically, you bring some canned goods to donate to those who need them this time of year and in exchange you can participate in a bar crawl around the city with thousands of other drunk Santas. Quite comical.

I painted my nails Essie’s jag-u-are for the Holidays. This is the best holiday color in my opinion. Pretty red with just a hint of sparkle.
On Christmas Eve, we headed down to Corey’s aunt’s house for a big Christmas Eve dinner. All Corey’s aunts, uncles, and cousins were there and it was a great time. His cousin’s long time boyfriend popped the question in front of all 30 guests and she said yes.
While we were at dinner, it started pouring snow to prepare for my first white Christmas ever. It stuck on the ground long enough to last through the next morning then melted away during the day on Christmas.
We headed back to Corey’s parents’ house and curled up on the couch to watch some Christmas movies before bed. Sweet Riley was so worn out from the Christmas festivities that he could barely keep his eyes open.
Santa came and brought Riley a new bone and rope toy shaped like a gingerbread man. He looks a little possessed in this photo but really he was just excited to play tug-of-war with a new toy.
Corey’s parents spoiled us with some golf accessories and a new winter coat for him and a beautiful scarf and vase for me and a gift certificate for a mani/pedi. Corey and I each got each other one small gift this year because we are in the process of making a really big purchase that hasn’t been mentioned on the blog yet. 😉
I got him a new North Face snowboarding jacket for his trip to Colorado in February and he got me the Mint. I can’t wait to use my little robot later today! I have a feeling it will be a life saver with our furry little dog.
We spent Christmas day watching movies with my in-laws and eating a delicious Christmas dinner of prime rib and lobster tails. Yum!
I"m so glad you had a wonderful Christmas!
Sounds like a great Christmas! And nothing beats snow for the day of. :)Is the mint like the roomba? Where it moves around on its own?
