Happy Monday lovelies! How was everyone’s weekend? It’s Columbus Day so my weekend is still going on, all though I have lots of things for work to work on even while I’m away from school.
On Friday, Corey and I went to happy hour. There is a bar that sells $1 mugs for happy hour so we’ll go with a group of ten or so people and order twenty beers at a time, just to make sure we get enough before the special ends.
Let’s not even discuss the calorie content here.
Corey and I headed to Melting Pot afterwards. This is not a restaurant we frequent but since we eat healthy most of the time, I was in the mood for an entire bowl of cheese. Ha! Plus it is kind of fun to cook your own meat for the main course. We chose the mojo marinade, which was delish.
We stopped by a friend’s apartment for a few drinks then headed out on the town. A friend bought “peanut butter and jelly” shots for all the girls. I’d never had one before and they were great.
Saturday morning, we went for brunch at an adorable french cafe in Hoboken, La Bouche Cafe. I’ve been wanting to try this place forever because it has the most adorable french details and sidewalk seating. The forecast hadn’t looked great for the weekend, but when the weekend came it ended up being 70 degrees and sunny. With fall quickly approaching, I knew it would be too cold to eat outside soon so we better get to it!
We enjoyed fresh bread, panini’s, cappuccinos, and shared a pistaccio maccaroon. It was really delicious. Since we’d been up and about for hours, we enjoyed lunch fare but the breakfast/brunch options sounded delicious too. I’d definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Then, we headed into the city and spent some time at the South Street Seaport, which is a charming area of the city that I hadn’t been to yet. Later, we met up with some friends at a biergarten for an Octoberfest celebration.
The nice weather we had Friday and Saturday disappeared by late evening and it got chilly! Sunday was a lazy day for us and we spent it relaxing and getting our life back in order for the week ahead.
I sent this to my sweet husband last night to remind him that I have a birthday coming up. In case you were unaware of the Tory Burch Friends and Fans event going on right now, hop on over to their site to check it out.
The 25% off won’t work for Revas unfortunately, but it will work for the sophie wedges I’ve been lusting over for almost an entire year!
That french cafe looks adorable!! I've recently read a couple books that were set in Paris and I've been aching to go to a cafe myself.
I've always wanted to try Melting Pot! I'm not sure if there's one here but there's one in my hometown. Good luck with getting the wedges 😉
What a great weekend!! That coffee made me drool. On Day 8 of my detox…so close to a coffee or tea…just two more days.
I've been dying to try the Melting Pot! Hopefully we can go someday soon! (The closest restaurant is over 3 hours away)What a perfect weekend!
I wish the TB coupon did work for the Reva's! I've never been to the Melting Pot but it's on my list to try. Any type of cheese and I'm sold!
