Happy Bridal Talk Tuesday lovelies! Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you. I was battling a sinus infection all week last week then finally got some amazing antibiotics on Friday. I felt much better and did some shopping with Corey’s mom on Sunday.
Not to mention the oh-so-important dress fitting at Kleinfeld on Saturday!!! I finally got to open the box. My dress is even prettier than the sample and I got to try on the veil I was having nightmares about getting lost in the mail. It luckily arrived safe and sound. I wish I could share pictures with you all but of course that would ruin the surprise! Y’all…I have to have FIVE inches taken in on my dress. Guess all that time in the gym is really paying off?? The fitting went really well and I go back in 3 weeks. I had a little anxiety over which kind of bustle I wanted and finally settled on the french after a conference call with my mom and an emergency text to our wedding planner.
Aside from the excitement of the dress arriving, we have been busy with invitations. They are in the process of being printed as I type this which is so exciting. We went with Blush Paperie and are doing thermography, which I think is a good compromise when you want something more textured than flat ink but don’t want to splurge on letterpress. In case you were wondering, thermography is a method of printing where the ink is raised. Our invitation will be printed on ivory linen paper and will have a gold accent backing. Here’s the proof (last names and personal information has been removed since this is the internet after all!)
We’re doing a little insert to direct guests to our wedding website so that they can get information on our room blocks as well as the shuttle we are offering for out of town guests so that they can get to the ceremony and back to the hotel for the reception without having to worry about driving in an area they are unfamiliar with or renting a car. Our website was on our engagement party invitations and save the dates but it never hurts to have a refresher.
I’m loving the wording we chose for our RSVP cards. You may remember this was a Pinterest find months ago that I mentioned in another Bridal Talk Tuesday.

Here are some pictures that better show the quality of the invites.
I will definitely take some pictures once the actual invites arrive so you can see how they turned out. I am in love with the samples. Love the paper, love the quality of the thermography. I am so glad we went with Blush Paperie.
