Happy Monday! Today, I’m linking up with Carissaagain for another Miscellany Monday!
I apologize for not blogging as much as usual last week. I noticed a lot of the bloggers I normally follow weren’t blogging as much and I was finishing up with exams and doing some wedding things so blogging kind of went on the back burner. I’m starting fresh this week though and getting back on schedule!
one.
Last week at work was rough. My two mischievous boys were extra mischievous, we had a case of head lice which I have to admit freaks me out (enough so that my clothes immediately came off daily as soon as I walked in the door, went into a hot load of laundry, and I went into a hot shower), and I had a student projectile vomit on Field Day on Friday. By far, not my best week at work this year.
two.
I’ve been sick this weekend. Some kind of cold/fever combination that doesn’t appear to be related to the projectile vomit incident in my class. I woke up Saturday morning, took Riley out, started to get ready to go to the gym then ran back up to my room to get some socks. Then, bam! It just hit me. I was feeling fine one second then literally the very next second I was dizzy, nauseous, and had chills. I immediately climbed into bed in the fetal position and slept for four hours. Then, I woke up and ate some soup. I then immediately climbed back in bed and watched six episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. I know I’m really too old to watch this show but I can’t help but be hooked on it.
three.
I had a lovely lunch with my family for Mother’s Day yesterday. I sure am thankful for my mommy.
four.
I have a confession. I am not taking my pre-wedding weight loss goals very seriously. Since this is the most important day of my life, I want to look the best I’ve ever looked in my life. I think I’m going to start doing some posts with healthy recipes and workout routines I’ve tried and if you followers have any suggestions, we can all share them to help each other out. Plus, if I tell you all that I’m trying to lose weight before the wedding, you’ll have to hold me to it!
I am so sorry that you have not felt well. I'm on a kick again to eat healthy. I get to my ideal weight then I drink and eat whatever then I notice I went up a pound. It's a vicious cycle.
Awesome Elizabeth! We can share healthy recipes. I know going to work out classes help me stay motivated. Especially when I work out with a friend. I read something about working out with a friend makes you 33% more likely to stick with it. It may have been higher. I totally want to look my best for my wedding cannot wait for your upcoming posts. (:
Ps I tried to comment on your past few posts from my Mac and for some reason it wouldn't let me type in the word to confirm. Right now my phone will let me. I looked for an email to tell you, but didn't see one. Just so you know (:
Can't wait to see which recipes you share because I saw that summer challenge segment on the Today show and decided to get fit all summer long with a healthy diet! Sadly I have no wedding as motivation so hopefully we can all motivate each other too! 🙂 feel better!
Ugh, lice! I can't imagine– in my Teaching Elementary Science class last semester we had a whole day's class devoted to how to deal with lice! And hmmm..my best weight loss tip would be to allow yourself to indulge sometimes. If you become too strict with diet, etc you'll be more likely to overindulge big time. So allow yourself a treat or two on the weekends, etc and you'll be more likely to curb cravings!
