It finally feels like fall in North Carolina and I couldn’t be happier. I just love getting our fireplace going at night, relaxing afternoons on the porch, and a fall candle filling the air. And, of course, being pregnant I really love being able to wear leggings and long cozy sweaters!
I did not share a fall home tour last year and there are a few things I’ve changed up since the year before. Decorating a home is a never-ending project but so, so fun. So, let’s get started.
In our foyer, I have this jack o’lantern on the entry table. It’s just a simple swap and I love the little flicker of a tea candle inside. These battery-operated ones are my favorite.
In our dining room, I have pumpkins spread out along the table runner. The glitter pumpkins are several years old but the small ones are new from the Target dollar spot. They are so cute and came in multiple colors.
In our kitchen, I am loving this little sign and jack o’lantern I picked up at Homegoods. They sit on the counter with a pumpkin candle. I try to choose soy-based candles scented with essential oils most of the time so I’m burning safer fragrance but I am a sucker during the fall for anything that smells the perfect combination of creamy and pumpkin. The little ghost several years old from Pier 1.
I decorate with a lot of faux florals in our house so in the fall I just slip a few sprays on orange and yellows in to help them transition. This is the arrangement on our kitchen table.
The living room is my favorite space in the fall. I love the fire place. The garland is from At Home and I sneak a few white pumpkins onto the built-ins to bring in an extra bit of fall.
I also swap out the florals on my coffee table and add a fall pillow from HomeGoods to our couch.
On our front porch, I swapped out my planters for mums. This year I went for yellow and maroon and added some pumpkins. The large orange and white pumpkins are falsies (similar here) and the small ones are Madeline’s from her pumpkin patch visits. This year I unpacked my fall wreath to find it damaged so I took the opportunity to purchase a new one and went with this beautiful and large option from At Home.
I usually start decorating mid-September and will leave my decorations up until the week after Thanksgiving when I switch over to Christmas, although I might honestly switch everything out super early this year so it is all done before Baby Boy makes his debut.
What touches of fall do you enjoy adding to your home this time of year?
Love it, simple but classic.
Beautiful! It's always so exciting when the seasons start to change. I know you love that fireplace in the evenings, so cozy! I never really decorate for seasons, but I really like your idea of slipping a few orange florals into your usual vases. I think that's a really cool way to add a touch of the season without going crazy. Kristen // http://www.pugsandpearls.com

Your house looks so festive! I usually don't do too much for fall, but this year, I added a few fresh pumpkins. I love your front porch!
Everything looks beautiful! I absolutely love the combination of the blue in the background of your fireplace/shelving wall and the white/soft green of the pumpkins and garland. So pretty!
