Friday Confessional

via

Happy Friday girls! Todays confessions are going to be short and sweet because I want to spend some time with my sweet husband before he leaves for Colorado for a boy’s snowboarding trip. If you want to join in with your own confessions, link up at Leslie’s blog.

I confess that I’m lusting for spring clothes and sandals. I am dying to pull out my jacks and am crossing my fingers the groundhog doesn’t see his shadow tomorrow.

On a similar note, I confess that if I never see another snowflake it won’t bother me at all. Snow is in the seven day forecast twice which has me feeling a little grumpy. Corey says dustings of snow don’t count unless there is more than 3 inches. I say if there’s enough snow that it makes my commute to work an extra 30 minutes, it counts.

I confess that I have been plum exhausted this week. I attended three workshops this week, a district grade-level meeting, reviewed a possible new social studies curriculum, had the winter parent drop-in, and a late afternoon doctor’s appointment this week and I am so.worn.out.

I confess that there aren’t enough hours in the day. Do you feel that way? (TGIF!)

I confess that I will probably throw a temper tantrum when Corey leaves for his trip today. 99% because I will miss him 🙁 But 1% because he won’t be here to help take Riley out in the cold.

I confess that I need to try to simplify my life a little. I was staring at my Erin Condren planner while in the waiting room at my dermatologist’s office yesterday and there is so much on my calendar for the coming weeks. The days are flying by and I want to spend more time doing the things I want to do not just the things I have to do.

I confess that I’m kind of over big city living. Our elevator was broken yesterday and we live on the top floor. So in the morning, I had to carry Riley down seven flights of stairs to take him to the bathroom. He is so well potty-trained but diverging from our usual routine (i.e. trying to make him walk down seven flights of stairs) would not be successful.

With that being said, I also confess that I’ll probably never be able to live in a small town again. I need to live in a city with lots of diversity for things to do and different types of food to try. But, I want to have a parking lot or garage in the near future.

I confess that I just ordered some cute tops from Old Navy. I don’t usually have luck there so I often forget about it, but they have some adorable, perfectly priced pieces out right now. We will discuss these more when they come in.

Happy Friday, friends! I hope its a great one.

Hope your tops turn out well! I had a couple I'm returning, but I hate trying on clothes in the store. Heck, I hate going into stores. lol
