Happy 3rd Birthday, Riley!

Happy Friday, lovelies! Today is a special Friday in our household because our sweet Riley Thomas is three. I really don’t know how that happened! It seems like it was just yesterday that I brought him home to live with us. I say “I” brought him home because Corey had repeatedly said, “don’t get that dog. Do not get that dog.” What can I say – sometimes its better to ask for forgiveness than permission. 😉

I always spoil him rotten on his birthday. I woke up early to play fetch with him. 

Then, we headed back upstairs for breakfast and a pupcake.

His cake is from the “barkery” at a pet boutique here in Hoboken, You Lucky Dog. I bought his cake there last year too and he loved it so much that I knew I had to get a similar one this year. 

Naturally, after cake come presents.

And its a sock monkey! Its always a sock monkey, actually. These are his favorite toys and he destroys one every couple months. I let him “pick out” a toy at the pet shop earlier in the week and this is what he pulled out of the bin.
