Happy Monday. If we were having coffee this morning, I would say that I want to go back and do the weekend all over again. We basically did a whole lot of nothing and I can’t say that I hated it. Just lots of family time.
On Friday night, we made steak, a great big salad, and shared a baked potato at home. Then, relaxed int he hammock in our back yard with a big glass (er couple glasses) of red wine and unwound from the week after baby girl went to bed.
I snapped this photo really quick Saturday morning and it turned out pretty blurry but I still love it. Madeline loves her Dada. She is so funny when he travels for work because any time the phone rings or the garage door opens she runs around squealing and screaming “Dada dada dada dada.”
In our quest for the best pizza in Charlotte, we tried DeSano for an early dinner on Saturday. It was pretty good but we hold some high standards after our time in Hoboken. I’m pretty satisfied as long as the restaurant uses a giant wood-burning oven, which DeSanos does and I think makes all the difference with pizza. I loved the atmosphere, too, and would recommend it if you are in the area looking for good pizza.
Madeline was grumpy pretty much all weekend in case you couldn’t tell from the two photos I’ve shared. The tips of all four of her canines have popped through but the teeth aren’t all the way in. She has been super unhappy and chewing on everything. Hurry up, teeth.
On Sunday, we started our day with a super long walk then went to our neighborhood pool after Madeline’s nap time. She is such a water baby and had such a great time. Of course, its all fun and games until someone poops in their swim diaper, which she did on the walk home, and resulted in mama needing to end the weekend with a glass of wine.
Its a rainy morning here in Charlotte but I’m kind of loving it because we have a lot to do at home, today.
How was your weekend?
Oh yum, I love a good wood fire oven pizza!!! Delicious! Hope you have a great Monday.
